MassDEP Policy Changes

Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection has issued its latest policy changes for chemistry and microbiology proficiency testing.

Policy Highlights

  • MassDEP now accepts non-scheduled PT Studies (Rapid Return™)
  • Analysis of PTs for corrective action must be completed no earlier than15 days after the closure of the first PT study.
  • QC standards are recommended to check the effectiveness of a corrective action before running another PT Study.
